A TALL BALUSTER SATSUMA VASE
By Kozan, Meiji era (1868-1912). Decorated in enamels and gilt, the body with two elaborately shaped panels, one depicting Kinko Sennin riding on a giant carp leaping towards the sky surrounded by other sennin (immortal people), the other showing several other sennin with their respective attributes including Oshiyoko Sennin on the back of a white crane and reading a scroll and other sennin walking among clouds. Signed on the base with impressed signature Kozan within an oval seal. 39 cm high.
