Welcome to our new auction: a beautiful and rare collection of original art from around the world. Includes German Expressionism, engravings by Goya, Kathe Kollwitz, Andreas Paul Weber, Max Lieberman, Ludwig Schwerin, Marc Chagall, Alfred Kubin and dozens of other artists.
The collection belonged to Felix Yehiel-Michael Meinz (1899-1978) who was an art lover and devoted collector, mainly of engravings and lithographs. Meinz belonged to the group of Agudath Israel workers, served as a soldier in the First World War, and later was a partner in the establishment of Bank Alran, which was later assimilated into the Union Bank.
The auction will take place on Tuesday, March 28 at 18:00 p.m Israel time.
Physical examination of the items will be done by prior arrangement only.

Hugo Steiner Prague - Six Lithographs - 1916
Six lithographs.
One of them is signedin pencil ("Der Golem"), the others are signed in the plate.
Sheets size: 33X24 cm.
All lithographs are given in a passepartout.
Good overall condition: stains on the margins (not on the prints).
Hugo Steiner Prague (1880-1945) was a German artist, illustrator and set designer. He illustrated, among other things, books by E.T.A. Hoffmann, and the illustrated version of "The Golem" that came out about a year after the publication of the original book by Gustav Meyrink.
