Le Menagier de Paris, traite de morale et d'economie domestique, compose in 1393 par un bourgeois parisien. Preface de Pierre Gaxotte de l'Academie Fraincaise.

An elegant edition of the "Book of the Parisian Household", a medieval French instruction book originally published in 1393 and intended to guide women in proper behavior in marriage and household management. This is a fancy edition made especially for Credit Lyonnais bank members. Two booklets, one a facsimile of the original book, which includes many illustrations, and the other is an introduction followed by a modern, easy-to-read translation of the original text. The booklets are given in a box bound in embroidered tapestry. Quality pages, thick and uncut.
