SMALL MIXED MEDIA TRAVELLING CABINET WITH GLASS PAINTINGS.
South Germany.
Date: Ca. 1600.
Technique: Cherry tree, walnut, spruce. Glass paintings.
Description: Rectangular shape with carrying handle on the top and two hinged doors. Six equally sized
drawer fronts on the inside. The drawers at the top and bottom, however, with wide
drawers. These and the cassette panels on the inside of the doors panelled with mirrored
reverse glass painting. On each, individual ladies and gentlemen in courtly robes.
Measurement: 18x17x10,5cm.
