Ref. Darlow & Moule, II 4756 ; Brunet V, 740. "The only major work produced in John Baskerville's "great primer" Greek type, issued simultaneously in 8vo and 4to eds. After the success of his Virgil in 1758, Baskerville [1706-1775] was commissioned to produce a new Greek type for the Clarendon Press in 1758" (Quaritch).
