Richard Simkin (1840–1926), 5 Watercolors from the series “The Indian Native Army”, numbers 1 to 4 and number 10, Wed. "Scouts of the 10th Bengal Lancers, (Field Service Kit)." All signed 'R. Simkin'. The watercolours in the present lot are the original watercolours used to illustrate R. Simkin's Our Armies, a review of amongst others the British Cavalry, British Artillery and Infantry and the Indian Native army, containing one hundred and one facsimile watercolour drawings and published by Day & Son, London. With instructions from the artist to the printer in pencil in the margin., watercolour, 23 x 27,5 cm. (5 pieces)
