A root wood sculpture of Shouxing and two infants on a tree trunk, China, 19th century Shouxing is symbol of longevity, here emphasized by the two infants at his side. He is considered on of ‘Fulushou’, in Chinese mythology a collective term of the three so called stargods derived from their names: Fuxing, Luxing en Shouxing. Height 99 cm.
