If we have gemological reports from internationally accepted gemological laboratories, such reports may be described in the Sale Particulars. Laboratories may not agree whether a particular gemstone has been treated, the amount of treatment or whether treatment is permanent. The gemological laboratories will only report on the improvements or treatments known to the laboratories at the date of the report. For jewelry sales, all condition estimates are based on the information in any gemological report or, if no gemological report is available, you should assume that the gemstones may have been treated or enhanced.
