A red-figured kylix, depicting Hermes, one of the twelve Olympian gods and herald of the gods and protector of human heralds, travelers, thieves and merchants. Recognizable by the kerykeion he is holding and his winged sandals. Surrounding him a Greek scripture. Diam. 31 cm. H. 13 cm. Provenance: Mr. H.C.F.A. van der Aa (1904-1980), bought in the period between 1960-1978. PLEASE NOTE: we don’t ship this lot outside the European Union (EU).
