A bronze Etruscan sculpture of a faun. H. 5.5 cm. W. 3.5 cm. Provenance: Mr. H.C.F.A. van der Aa (1904-1980), bought in the period between 1960-1978. This piece was photographed by the Archaeological Institute of Leiden University. The photographs were sent to the owner with an accompanying letter (dated 14 May 1976) from the Archaeological Institute. The letter contained the following text: 'I am sending you the photographs of your charming bronze little faun. [...] I would like to thank you and your husband once again for your great hospitality. Your collection, especially of Etruscan antiquities, is magnificent.' PLEASE NOTE: we don’t ship this lot outside the European Union (EU).
