Jane Seymour Fonda (born December 21, 1937 in New York) is an American actress, film producer, activist, and model. She is the daughter of the great actor Henry Fonda.
She has won two Academy Awards for Best Actress: one in 1972 for "Klute" and another in 1979 for "Coming Home". Her other roles for which she was nominated are "They Shoot Horses Like That, Don't They?" (1969), Julie (1977), The China Syndrome (1979), "On Golden Pond" (1981), and "The Morning After" (1986). During her career, she has also won seven Golden Globes, two BAFTA Awards, an Emmy Award, and a David di Donatello.
In 2017, she was awarded the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the Venice International Film Festival, and in 2021, the Golden Globe for Lifetime Achievement.
