Russian Enamel and Gilt Silver Cream Pitcher
Russian enamel and gilt silver cream pitcher, profusely decorated with shades of blue, yellow, and red. Marked along the handle and along the underside. Maker's mark CK, Moscow city mark, along with several other marks.
Provenance: Property from the distinguished collection of Mr. James Lee Soffer, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Height: 3 1/4 in x width: 5 in x depth: 2 1/2 in. Weight: 134.4 grams.
Condition: The item is in good condition with no major cracks or losses to the enamel. Light wear throughout. When inspected under UV light, there is no visible sign of restoration. Light metal erosion, most noticeable to the interior side of the handle. No visible dent along the rim. There are several scattered areas with gold gilding loss; several scattered areas of loss to enamel; however, they do not significantly affect the overall appearance of the piece. Light discoloration along the underside. Discoloration to the blue enamel near the handle.
