Russian Signature Gilt Silver Case w/ Amethyst
Russian gilt silver signature cigarette case with applied decorations. One side with the signature along the upper left, an anchor with 13 stones, initials, and an elephant. One side with applied flowers with five small inset amethysts. With maker's mark and 84 Kokoshnik along the interior.
Provenance: Property from the distinguished collection of Mr. James Lee Soffer, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Height: 3 3/4 in x width: 3 in x depth: 1/2 in. Total weight: 169.2 grams.
Condition: The case is in overall good condition with no major losses, dents, or discolorations. Scratches and scuffs throughout consistent with age and use. Light losses to the gilding. Wear to the fabric straps along the interior. The case opens smoothly and clasps firmly. The case stays shut when clasped.
