Grachyov Mikhail Frolovich (born in 1913, Leningrad).
He studied in the IR (graduated in 1948) under V.M.Konashevich. As a thesis he designed and illustrated the “Lay of Igor’s Warfare”. Participated in exhibitions since 1951. He created “Assault of the Izmail Fortress on December 11, 1790”, “To Defend Leningrad” (1964), “Young Communists Left to Defend Leningrad” (1967), “A Talk about Lenin” (tempera, 1969). Participated in exhibitions since 1932. Author of several children books, as well as illustrations for them (in cooperation with N.S.Troshin). Since 1932 the most part of her works were painted in watercolours.
